The best way to learn about Wine is to drink and think, preferably with others and out loud.

This blog is a companion to the Geography of Wine course at Virginia Tech with John Boyer, at least that’s the origin story. I plan to use it as a discovery of the world of Wine and to help myself find out my own preferences so that I can enjoy Wine even more. I’m going to use this site to log my favorite bottles and boxes, as well as those I don’t like. However, more specifically, I’ll be recording my thoughts so that I know why I like the Wines I like, and why I don’t like the rest.
